As a 2yo he was trained by Barry Hills to win his first two starts before finishing a creditable 4th od 24 in the Listed Redcar 2yo Trophy.
Since then he established himself as a decent handicapper over distances from 6-8f.  As is the case with most horses at his level, he wins his share of races before the handicapper gets a hold of him and he finds it hard for a while.
Now a little older though we are hoping to take advantage of the fact not many people claim horses once they pass their maximum potential.  So over the coming months we are hoping to mix running in decent handicaps with taking in the odd claimer to make sure he is finishing regulary in the winners enclosure.
Its not to say we are actively looking to sell the horse as soon as we get it, far from it, by placing it in these claiming races we are trying our best to ensure that the horse is enjoying its racing and earning you, the members, as much prize money and giving you as many good enjoyable days out as possible.  His price in these claimers will always be above the price is he available for so you if he did get 'claimed' then we'd all make a small profit.
His first race is in a decent handicap, and although we might be classed as an outsider on the day, the race in question, The Carlisle Bell is worth £30,000 in total so its a very nice prize to have a go at.
So if your looking for a good fun horse to be involved in who can run often at most of the tracks local to Yorkshire, then look no futher than this fella.  He would be especially suited to anyone having their first experience in ownership.
