Koo’s Racing Club was established in early 2009 by Kristian Strangeway and Brian Ellison.   It all started with a chat about how to bring new owners to the sport and between them they came up with the idea of Koo’s Racing Club.

Being a busy man and a respected trainer Brian is being left to concentrate on what he does best, training winners, and the day to day running of the Club is left to Kristian.

Kristian has been involved in racing for over 20 years and can remember Brian riding his own horses and even winning once or twice!!!   Kristian has his nose constantly in the form book and works really hard in finding the right horses to buy and also finding the right races for the horses to race in.  

 From starting the Club, we have been regularly in the winner’s circle.   Ladies Best provided us with our first success within 2 weeks of the 2009 Flat Season and since then we have continued to enjoy good fortune having winners on the flat, both turf and all-weather and also over hurdles and chases for the National Hunt enthusiasts.

In January 2010 we have decided to expand 'down south' and sent one of our horses to trainer Peter Hedger, who is based near Basingstoke.  And this move has already proved to be a success.

At Koo’s Racing Club our aim is to encourage more people to get involved in racehorse ownership and enjoy all the experiences any other owner would enjoy at a fraction of the cost.
