And after being in the 'last chance saloon' last time out and giving us a surprising winner under Silvestre De Sousa, we are delighted that Pelmanism managed to give Aidan Coleman his first genuine flat race win. We are absolutely delighted for both, the horse as well as Aidan.
Well done to all members involved
After not managing to win last year we were chuffed to bits to see Mon Brav and Martin Lane showing a very gutsy performance and of course winning at Goodwood. What a run and what a ride! Mon Brav had a great winter holiday, came back refreshed and it all reflected in his win! Well done to everyone involved.
Dontpaytheferryman on Tuesday becomes Koo's Racing Club first ever runner over fences, when he runs at Sedgefield.
His jockey Keith Mercer has been down to Brian's stales to ride him and popped him over a few fences where they described his jumping as very brave, low and quick.
We know this doesnt always show on the track though, so we will be just delighted if he jumps round and comes home safe.
What a day we had and the best part of it was that our recent addition 7yo gelding Racy has nearly managed to win the Scottish Sprint Cup at Musselburgh under a great ride by 7lb claimer Connor Beasley. They have managed to get beat by a head by Kingsgate Choice, which is a hell of a horse and we gave him something to compete against!
We are absolutely delighted, maybe slightly gutted we got beat by such a short distance, but delighted with the horses performance and nice prize money!
Finally we had another winner and it was courtesy of the old boy Pravda Street and Ben Curtis in a claiming race at Wolverhampton. And what more ... Pravda Street gave our trainer Brian Ellison his 100th winner of the year! Well done Brian and the whole team. Keep up the good work and we want to see the same great results next year
